"Dispossession" rattles around in my brain

Don't usually "borrow" but I don't want to lose this conversation:

Rebecca:
Paper topic: genocide and the feminine. Rather than considering power as the ability to dominate and control, "power should be conceptualized as a divisible, infinite resource and the ability to reach goals" (Iannello)

Patty: a divisible, infinite resource - like a heart . . .meaning "love" not the organ

Me: Power is being able to open your hands and release it (power) and rejoice in the lives transformed by it; a tribute to your freedom in the dispossession of it. (Brooks-Brown - w/ a nod to Scharen, Zscheille, Lange and others at the Missional Church Consultation last month)

I may not have my written reflections and paper done for this independent study, but its getting under my skin.
